Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, is proud to have served and inspired our youth for over 80 years. Founded on January 24, 1938, by Marion Turner Stubbs, Jack and Jill’s focus was to provide an opportunity for African American children to experience the benefits gained from a collective of like-minded parents. Today, the Ypsilanti Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated, carries on that vision by inspiring our young people to excel in environments that can often be difficult to navigate and embolden our youth to be intellectually, socially, civically, and professionally excellent. Through development in education, leadership, civic, and social responsibility, we honor the legacy passed down to us.
As we remember our past, we look forward to our future and honor those who are no longer with us. We will continue to combat inequities and prepare for the challenges of the future. During this time in our history, we have the opportunity to foster a generation of children to be the authors of their future, leaders of their communities, and catalysts of change. We are in the right place at the right time!
